At GO we have an amazing vinyl DJ called Bevis, known as DJ JACKPUDDING. He has a passion for music and he would love to be part of your special day or event.  Hiring an excellent vinyl DJ throughout Hampshire just got a whole lot easier.

About me

Hi, I’m Bevis, GOs vinyl DJ.


I’ve been DJing since the age of 19 and have a passion for music of all kinds, particularly ’80s dance music and Synth Pop. I have a large and eclectic vinyl collection that encompasses everything from ’60-’70s funk and soul to current dance and Hyperpop. I have previously DJed in many contexts including parties and weddings, and have also put on DJ nights in Bournemouth and Southampton with a focus on ’80s and ’80s-influenced dance music including Balearic, Italo, Synth Pop and Hyperpop. I have also played regularly for ‘a space arts’ RIPE LIVE and at various places in Southampton, including The Loft, God’s House Tower, The Arches and Public Address at Planet Sounds. Loud and Clear Sober parties in Winchester.  I’d describe my ‘house style’ when I DJ under the name of JACKPUDDING as “house that sounds like techno and techno that sounds like house but definitely not Tech House!’


What styles do I play?

Although I do play digitally, my specialism is vinyl DJing. Whilst this does limit the amount of music I can access in one session, I find that it actually helps focus my sets to produce something more tailored and special for the audience. Below is a list of the styles/genres I specialise in but saying that I have a pretty comprehensive collection so please ask if there is a genre you like that is not covered.

Equipment

Currently I have two Technics 1200 decks for Ortofon styli and Concorde 2 cartridges, a Phonic 1062 Powerpop Plus PA amp and speakers, my trusty Pioneer 600 DJ mixer and Sennheiser DJ headphones. I’m currently looking to source disco stage lights but will be happy to hire some to include at cost price if required.
